  • 8 oz 8 oz of pasta (your pick: penne, rotini, or fettuccine) Use your favorite type of pasta.
Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken Perfect for using up leftovers.
  • 1 cup 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese For that ooey-gooey goodness.
  • 1 cup 1 cup heavy cream Adds richness to the dish.
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon garlic powder Enhances flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper to taste
  • to taste Optional: fresh herbs for garnish (basil or parsley) Make it fancy!

Method
 

Cooking Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add your pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
Making the Sauce
  1. Heat olive oil over medium heat in a separate saucepan. Reduce heat and pour in the heavy cream.
  2. Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer and gradually add the shredded white cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
Combining Ingredients
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, shredded chicken, and cheese sauce. Toss gently until every noodle is coated.
Final Touches
  1. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Serve in plates or from the pot, garnished with fresh herbs.

Notes

If the sauce thickens too much, splash in some pasta water or additional cream. Use leftover rotisserie chicken for convenience. For a veggie option, add broccoli or spinach before the cheese sauce.
