  • 4 cups all-purpose flour (and a little extra for dusting)
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast 1 packet
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups warm water not too hot
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together your flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. Gradually pour in the warm water and olive oil. Use a wooden spoon or your hands to mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead it for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot for about an hour, or until it doubles in size.
  5. Once risen, punch the dough down and divide it into two equal portions. Shape each portion into a ball and let them rest for another 10-15 minutes.
  6. On a floured surface, roll out each ball into your desired pizza shape and thickness.
  7. If you prefer a crispy crust, pre-bake your dough at 475°F (245°C) for about 5 minutes (optional).
  8. Add your favorite toppings and bake your masterpiece.

Notes

Let the dough rest properly for the best texture. Be cautious with toppings to ensure a perfectly baked pizza. Frozen dough can be stored for up to 3 months.
