  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder Unsweetened
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped hazelnuts
  • 9 pieces Ferrero Rocher candies, chopped Maybe a few extra for snacking!
  • to taste cup chocolate chips For added fudginess

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch baking pan by greasing it or lining with parchment paper.
  2. In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter, watching it carefully to avoid burning.
  3. Stir in the granulated sugar until fully combined. Next, add the eggs one at a time, whisking them along with the vanilla extract until smooth and glossy.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped hazelnuts and Ferrero Rocher candies.
  6. Spread the brownie batter into the prepared pan, sprinkling chocolate chips on top if desired.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Serving
  1. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting them into squares. Serve as they are or with a scoop of ice cream.

Notes

Don’t overbake for the best fudgy center. You can replace the hazelnuts with pecans or walnuts. For a flavor boost, substitute half the chocolate chips with dark chocolate or add a splash of espresso powder.
