Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch baking pan by greasing it or lining with parchment paper.
- In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter, watching it carefully to avoid burning.
- Stir in the granulated sugar until fully combined. Next, add the eggs one at a time, whisking them along with the vanilla extract until smooth and glossy.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped hazelnuts and Ferrero Rocher candies.
- Spread the brownie batter into the prepared pan, sprinkling chocolate chips on top if desired.
Baking
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Serving
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting them into squares. Serve as they are or with a scoop of ice cream.
Notes
Don’t overbake for the best fudgy center. You can replace the hazelnuts with pecans or walnuts. For a flavor boost, substitute half the chocolate chips with dark chocolate or add a splash of espresso powder.
