Baking
- Divide the batter evenly between two greased 9-inch round cake pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Frosting
- Optional: Whip up some chocolate buttercream frosting to slather on top.
