Cooking the Bacon
- In a skillet over medium heat, fry your bacon slices until they’re nice and crispy. (Pro tip: If they curl up on you, just give 'em a little press with a spatula!) Once done, drain on paper towels to remove excess grease.
Toasting the Bread
- If you enjoy a little crunch, pop your slices of bread in the toaster to get golden brown perfection. But hey, if you’re not a toast person, feel free to skip this step.
Assembling the Sandwich
- Spread a generous layer of mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread. It’s essential!
- Layer: place your crispy bacon on one slice, followed by the lettuce leaves, and top with tomato slices. Sprinkle a little salt and pepper for good measure.
- Top it all off with the second slice of bread, mayo side down.
- Cut your sandwich in half diagonally.
- Grab a plate and your favorite side—maybe some chips or a simple salad—and enjoy!
Notes
For a less greasy result, try cooking bacon in the oven on a foil-lined baking sheet at 400°F for about 20 minutes. To increase veggie content, add avocado or cucumber for extra crunch.
