Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the butter mixture.
- Fold in the toffee bits and toasted pecans.
Baking
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow the cookies to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes
Toast the pecans for extra flavor. Chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking for thicker cookies. Wrap cookies in bags for gifting.
