Ingredients
  

For the Dip
  • 1 cup diced fresh tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic For flavor
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar Optional
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened The magic ingredient
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped Or more if desired

  • as needed Sliced baguette or crackers for dipping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Toss the diced tomatoes in a bowl with minced garlic, balsamic vinegar, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Let sit to meld flavors.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine mozzarella, Parmesan, and softened cream cheese until creamy.
  3. Fold in the seasoned tomatoes and fresh basil into the cheese mixture. Stir gently.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread the dip into a baking dish and bake for about 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
Serving
  1. Once out of the oven, let cool for a minute. Serve with sliced baguette or your favorite crackers.

Notes

Make it ahead by preparing in advance and covering with plastic wrap, then bake when ready. For heat, add crushed red pepper flakes. Canned tomatoes can substitute fresh if drained well.
