  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For a shiny, golden finish
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Makes everything taste better
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika Adds barbecue flavor
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice Fresh is always best
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce Lends savory depth
  • to taste Salt and pepper Seasoning is key
To Serve
  • Lemon wedges For a bit of citrus zing
  • Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well, then add the shrimp and toss to coat. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes.
  2. Preheat your grill to medium-high. If using a grill pan, place it over medium heat and lightly grease to prevent sticking.
  3. Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to avoid burning.
Cooking
  1. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Avoid overcooking.
  2. Remove the shrimp from the grill and transfer to a platter. Squeeze lemon wedges over the top and sprinkle with chopped parsley.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the grill for even cooking. You can also grill the shrimp directly using a grill basket. Using lemon slices on the grill adds depth of flavor.
