Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef (or turkey for a leaner option)
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 can (8 ounces) crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup ranch dressing (plus extra for dipping)
Optional Toppings
  • diced tomatoes for garnish
  • sliced black olives for garnish
  • fresh jalapeños for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease, then stir in the taco seasoning and a splash of water. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. While the meat is cooking, unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles to form eight individual pieces.
Assembly and Baking
  1. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, place each triangle and top with a spoonful of the taco meat. Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese over the meat.
  2. Carefully fold the corners of the crescent dough over the filling to form little bundles and pinch the seams to secure.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
Serving
  1. Let the Taco Ranch Bites cool for a couple of minutes before serving warm with ranch dressing for dipping.

Notes

Feel free to customize with your favorite ingredients such as black beans, corn, or chopped cilantro for added flavor. For extra crunch, mix crushed tortilla chips into the meat before assembly.
