Ingredients
Method
Cooking the Steak
- Pat the T-bone steak dry with paper towels.
- Generously season both sides of the steak with salt and pepper.
- In a heavy skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering and sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
- Tent the steak with foil and allow it to rest for about 5-10 minutes.
Fried Shrimp Adventure
- Combine the shrimp and buttermilk in a bowl and let soak for about 20 minutes.
- In a separate dish, mix flour, paprika, salt, and pepper. Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture, then toss in the breadcrumbs.
- In a deep frying pan, heat enough oil to cover half the shrimp and fry in batches for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Arrange the steak and shrimp on a platter and garnish with fresh herbs.
Notes
Use a meat thermometer for perfect steak temperature (aim for 130°F for medium-rare). Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
