Method
Preparation
- In a bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Cooking the Steaks
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steaks with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add a tablespoon of butter to the pan, and when it’s bubbling, lay the steaks in.
- Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until they reach a perfect sear. Remove and let rest under foil.
Preparing the Sauce
- In the same pan, lower the heat to medium and add more butter and minced garlic.
- Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Slowly add heavy cream, stirring gently. Let bubble for a minute before whisking in Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
Cooking the Shrimp
- Toss the marinated shrimp into the sauce and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and cooked through.
Serving
- Slice the rested steak and serve topped with shrimp and creamy garlic sauce. Garnish with parsley.
Notes
Resting the steak is essential for a tender experience. Substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or whole milk, but the sauce won't be as rich. Adding a squeeze of lemon juice can enhance the flavor.
