  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite) Choose your favorite cheese.
  • 1 cup cooked meat (ham, chicken, or turkey, chopped) Use your choice of protein.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (like parsley or chives, optional) Herbs are optional but recommended.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to your preference.
  • 1 egg for egg wash Helps achieve a golden color.
Optional Sweet Filling Ideas
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Great for a sweet treat.
  • 1 cup fresh berries Use your choice of berries.
  • 1 tablespoon sugar and cinnamon, mixed together For sweet touch.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent dough onto a clean surface and separate the triangles.
  3. Prepare your filling: for savory, mix cheese, chopped meat, and herbs; for sweet, get chocolate and berries ready.
  4. Spoon the filling onto the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Roll it up from the wide end and tuck the ends slightly.
  6. Beat the egg and brush it onto the rolls.
  7. Arrange the rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet with space between them.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.
  9. Cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Prep ingredients in advance for quicker assembly. Different fillings can be experimented with for variety.
