Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 package mini marshmallows (10 oz)
  • 1/2 cup strawberry puree Can be homemade or store-bought
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
Optional Toppings
  • extra mini marshmallows For topping
  • diced strawberries For topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.
  2. Once melted, add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
  3. Stir in the strawberry puree into the marshmallow mixture until smooth and well combined.
Combine Ingredients
  1. Remove the saucepan from heat and gradually add the Rice Krispies cereal, stirring until all pieces are evenly coated.
Shape Treats
  1. Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper. Pour the mixture into the dish and press it evenly into the pan with a greased spatula or your hands.
  2. If desired, sprinkle extra mini marshmallows or diced strawberries on top.
Set and Serve
  1. Allow to cool for about 30 minutes, then cut into squares or rectangles.

Notes

Use frozen strawberries if fresh ones aren't available. Add a few drops of pink food coloring for a fun touch. If the mixture is sticky, coat your hands in butter or cooking spray to help shape it.
