Preparation
- Start by washing and hulling your fresh strawberries. Slice them into thin pieces and set them aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Using a hand mixer, whip the mixture until soft peaks form.
- Gently fold in the vanilla yogurt into the whipped cream until it’s beautifully blended.
Assembly
- Layer the trifle by starting with a layer of crushed vanilla wafers, followed by a layer of the yogurt and cream mixture, and then a layer of sliced strawberries. Repeat until ingredients are used up, finishing with a layer of whipped cream on top.
- Let your Strawberry Crunch Trifle chill in the fridge for about an hour before serving.
- Garnish with crushed wafers and fresh mint leaves before serving.
Notes
Crushed Cookie Substitution: Swap vanilla wafers for graham crackers or crushed Oreos for a chocolatey twist! Use frozen strawberries if fresh ones are unavailable by thawing and draining excess liquid. For a fancier presentation, consider layering in mason jars.
