Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  2. Gently add the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the whipped cream.
  3. Beat until smooth and luscious.
Layering
  1. Start with a layer of crumbled pound cake or ladyfingers in a trifle dish.
  2. Spoon half of the cream cheese mixture over the cake layer.
  3. Add half of the strawberries over the cream layer.
  4. Repeat the layering process starting with the cake, followed by the remaining cream cheese mixture, and top with the rest of the strawberries.
Chilling
  1. Allow the trifle to chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Notes

Making it kid-friendly can allow children to help with layering, making them more likely to eat it. Feel free to substitute strawberries with your favorite fruit like blueberries or peaches. For extra fluff, fold in some whipped cream into the mixture.
