Ingredients
  

For the Sticky Orange Chicken
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs Cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For frying
  • 1 cup orange juice Freshly squeezed is preferred
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water To thicken the sauce
For the Yum Yum Sauce
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper
For Assembly
  • 4 servings Cooked rice (white or brown) Your choice of rice
  • to taste Chopped green onions For garnish
  • to taste Sesame seeds For garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Chicken
  1. Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
Cook the Chicken
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Make the Orange Sauce
  1. In a bowl, combine orange juice, honey, soy sauce, and zest. Pour this mixture into the skillet with the chicken and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
Thicken the Sauce
  1. Mix the cornstarch slurry into the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens.
Whip Up the Yum Yum Sauce
  1. In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, rice vinegar, sugar, garlic powder, paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until smooth.
Assemble Your Bowls
  1. In each bowl, serve a scoop of rice topped with sticky orange chicken, drizzle with Yum Yum sauce, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. This recipe is great for meal prep; store chicken and sauce separately until serving. Fresh orange juice is preferred for better flavor.
