Ingredients
  

For the Steak and Shrimp
  • 8 oz flank steak, thinly sliced Use a sharp knife to slice against the grain for tender bites.
  • 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined Ensure shrimp are fresh or properly thawed.
For the Noodles
  • 8 oz lo mein noodles (or any preferred noodles) Cook according to package instructions.
For the Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce Feel free to use low sodium if preferred.
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce Can substitute with vegetarian oyster sauce if needed.
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced Fresh minced garlic for best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced Fresh ginger enhances the taste.
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil Adds a nutty flavor to the dish.
For the Veggies
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced Any color bell pepper works.
  • 1 cup snow peas Fresh snow peas preferred.
  • 2 pieces green onions, chopped For garnish and added flavor.
Garnishes
  • Sesame seeds (optional) For a decorative touch.
  • Fresh cilantro (optional) Adds freshness.

Method
 

Cooking the Noodles
  1. Cook the lo mein noodles according to the package instructions. Once al dente, drain and set aside.
Preparing the Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Set aside.
Cooking the Steak
  1. Heat a bit of oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the sliced flank steak in a single layer. Sear for about 1-2 minutes until browned.
Adding Shrimp
  1. Toss in the shrimp and cook for another 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
Incorporating Veggies
  1. Add the bell peppers and snow peas. Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the veggies are tender-crisp.
Combining Noodles and Sauce
  1. Add the cooked noodles and the prepared sauce to the skillet. Toss everything together and cook for another minute until heated through.
Serving
  1. Remove from heat, plate, and garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro if desired.

Notes

Don’t overcook the shrimp to avoid a rubbery texture. Feel free to customize with any veggies you like.
