Method
Cooking the Noodles
- Cook the lo mein noodles according to the package instructions. Once al dente, drain and set aside.
Preparing the Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Set aside.
Cooking the Steak
- Heat a bit of oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the sliced flank steak in a single layer. Sear for about 1-2 minutes until browned.
Adding Shrimp
- Toss in the shrimp and cook for another 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
Incorporating Veggies
- Add the bell peppers and snow peas. Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the veggies are tender-crisp.
Combining Noodles and Sauce
- Add the cooked noodles and the prepared sauce to the skillet. Toss everything together and cook for another minute until heated through.
Serving
- Remove from heat, plate, and garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro if desired.
Notes
Don’t overcook the shrimp to avoid a rubbery texture. Feel free to customize with any veggies you like.
