  • 1 package mini puff pastry shells Store-bought to save time.
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Can substitute with Neufchâtel or ricotta.
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup crumbled bacon Can be swapped for diced jalapeños for spice.
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup olives, sliced Used as 'eyes' for the appetizers.
  • 1/4 cup raspberry jam Used for a blood-like drizzle.
  • 1 package edible googly eyes For a spooky finish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the puff pastry shells on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and chopped green onions.
  4. Fill the pastry shells with the cheese mixture.
  5. Top each filled shell with a slice of olive to create 'eyes.'
Baking
  1. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, until golden brown and bubbling.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool.
  3. Drizzle with raspberry jam for a ghastly effect.
  4. Add edible googly eyes on top before serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days.
