For the potatoes
  • 4 large large russet potatoes Leave skins on for extra texture.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • optional Sour cream or ranch dressing for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and scrub the potatoes clean, leaving the skins on. Cut the potatoes in half and carve out spooky skull shapes.
  3. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Brush this mixture over the carved potatoes.
Baking
  1. Place the seasoned potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until golden-brown and crispy.
Serving
  1. Serve with a dollop of sour cream or ranch dressing, or turn it into a 'skull dip' by arranging them on a platter.

Notes

Experiment with different potato types for variety. For extra flavor, add smoked paprika.
