  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 Juice of 1 lemon for flavor enhancement
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper until well coated.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the shrimp in a single layer and sauté for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink.
  3. Just before cooking is complete, squeeze lemon juice over the shrimp and toss in the chopped parsley.
Serving
  1. Serve your Spicy Voodoo Shrimp with rice, bread, or salad for a complete meal.

Notes
