Ingredients
  

Seafood
  • 2 fillets salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each) Use fresh salmon for best flavor.
  • 12 ounces shrimp, peeled and deveined Ensure shrimp are fresh or thoroughly thawed.
Seasoning and Dressing
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For cooking and flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning Add more if you're feeling daring!
  • 1 each lemon, juiced For a fresh zing.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances the flavor.
  • Fresh parsley for garnish Makes for a beautiful presentation.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste Basic seasoning.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Chop up some fresh parsley and get the garlic minced.
  2. In a bowl, mix the shrimp with half the Cajun seasoning, lemon juice, and minced garlic.
  3. Drizzle the salmon with olive oil and sprinkle the remaining Cajun seasoning on top.
Cooking
  1. Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add a little olive oil.
  2. Once hot, add the salmon, skin side down, and cook for about 4-5 minutes until golden crusted.
  3. Flip the salmon carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes until done.
  4. In the same pan, toss in the shrimp and cook for about 3-4 minutes until pink and cooked.
Serving
  1. Serve the salmon and shrimp on a platter, garnished with fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon.

Notes

For added flavor, serve with steamed veggies, rice pilaf, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce. This dish balances wonderfully with garlic bread or a refreshing salad.
