Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs
  • 1 pound ground turkey or chicken
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (panko) Panko is great for extra crunch!
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for garnish Fresh parsley, chopped Add just before serving.
For the Lemony Yogurt Sauce
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • Juice of 1 lemon Juice of 1 lemon Adjust for more tanginess.
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • a pinch salt
  • to taste A drizzle of olive oil Just for extra flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey or chicken with breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Cooking
  1. Bake the meatballs for about 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and nicely browned.
  2. While the meatballs are baking, mix together Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and olive oil in a small bowl.
  3. Stir until well-blended.
Serving
  1. Serve the meatballs hot with a scoop of the lemony yogurt sauce on top.
  2. Sprinkle with fresh parsley.

Notes

For picky eaters, reduce the cumin and paprika for milder flavors. Pair with couscous or salad for a complete meal. Double the recipe to freeze for later!
