Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and 1/2 cup of powdered sugar. Beat together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the vanilla extract, then gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until fully combined.
- Fold in the finely chopped nuts.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on an ungreased baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are light golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool for about 5 minutes on the baking sheet, then roll them in powdered sugar while still warm.
- Allow to cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Consider adding a pinch of cinnamon or almond extract for more flavor. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
