Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces bone-in pork chops These should be of equal size for even cooking.
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz) You can substitute with cream of chicken soup if preferred.
  • 1 cup water Used to help create the sauce.
  • 1 package Rice A Roni (6.2 oz) Original flavor recommended.
  • 2 cups frozen green beans Adds color and nutrition to the dish.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For searing the pork chops.
  • Salt and pepper To taste.

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
  3. Sear the pork chops for about 3-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and slightly crispy.
Cooking the Sauce
  1. Add the cream of mushroom soup and water to the skillet, stirring until the pork chops are nicely coated.
  2. Sprinkle in the Rice A Roni, cover the skillet, and let it simmer for about 15 minutes.
  3. With about 5 minutes left, add the frozen green beans to the skillet.
Serving
  1. Once everything is cooked through, plate the pork chops, spoon on the creamy rice, and arrange the green beans around.

Notes

If the sauce looks chunky, just give it a good stir. You can substitute the soup for cream of celery or cheddar cheese soup. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days and reheat in the microwave.
