Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pounds pork rib tips
  • 1/4 cup honey for sweetness
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce for umami flavor
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika for smoky flavor
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for brushing

Method

Preparation
  1. Rinse the pork rib tips under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Whisk until blended.
Marination
  1. Place the rib tips in a large zip-top bag or bowl and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag or cover the bowl and let them marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat.
  2. Remove the rib tips from the marinade and brush them with olive oil.
  3. Place the rib tips on the grill and cook for about 15-20 minutes, flipping every 5 minutes to achieve caramelization.
  4. In the last few minutes of grilling, brush the leftover marinade over the rib tips for extra flavor.
  5. Once cooked, remove the rib tips from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

If you don't have a grill, you can bake these at 375°F for about 30-35 minutes, broiling for the last 2-3 minutes for caramelization. For a gluten-free option, substitute soy sauce with tamari or coconut aminos.
