Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 to 3 pounds pork roast (shoulder or butt) Should work great for this recipe.
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Cut into tablespoons.
  • 6 to 8 pepperoncini peppers Add a touch of juice for flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Optional, not usually needed.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the pork roast in the bottom of the crock pot.
  2. Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix over the roast, followed by the au jus gravy mix.
  3. Cut half a cup of butter into tablespoons and place it over the roast.
  4. Toss in the pepperoncini peppers and pour some of their juice over everything.
  5. Cover the crock pot and set it on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  6. Once cooked, shred the pork using two forks directly in the pot, mixing it all together.
  7. Serve the shredded pork over rice, mashed potatoes, or in a bun.

Notes

For a homemade ranch mix, combine garlic powder, dried dill, onion powder, and salt. Add vegetables like carrots or potatoes for extra bulk. Leftovers taste even better the next day!
