Preparation
- In a medium bowl, combine the shrimp, soy sauce, sesame oil, and minced ginger. Let that marinate for about 10-15 minutes.
- In another bowl, toss together the diced red bell pepper, grated carrot, and sliced green onion.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium heat, add a splash of oil, and stir-fry the marinated shrimp for about 3-4 minutes until they’re pink and cooked through.
- Using a small spoon, spoon a mix of shrimp and veggies onto the center of each wonton wrapper and fold the wrapper into a cone shape.
- In a deep pot, heat enough oil to submerge the cones, then gently drop in your prepared wonton cones, frying until they’re golden brown and crispy.
Serving
- Arrange your crispy cones on a platter and serve with dipping sauce on the side.
Notes
If you don’t have a deep fryer, a pot on the stove works fine—just be safe with hot oil. You can fill your cones with fried rice or salad for a heartier option. Even if they look imperfect, they taste amazing!
