Ingredients

Seafood Filling
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped Use fresh or thawed shrimp
  • 1 cup crab meat Fresh or canned crab meat can be used
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend) Cheddar or a suitable cheese blend works best
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened Ensure it's softened for easy mixing
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning Add more for extra flavor if desired
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Wrappers and Cooking
  • 1 package egg roll wrappers Available at grocery stores
  • Cooking spray or oil for frying For frying the nacho sticks
  • Optional: dipping sauce (spicy salsa or tangy ranch) Choose based on preference

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, crab meat, shredded cheese, cream cheese, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until well-combined.
Wrapping
  1. Take an egg roll wrapper and lay it flat on a clean surface. Spoon a generous tablespoon of the seafood mixture onto the center of the wrapper.
  2. Fold the bottom up over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll it up tightly.
Cooking
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add a little oil or spray with cooking spray. Once it’s hot, place your nacho sticks seam-side down in the skillet.
  2. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  3. Remove them from the skillet and let them drain on a paper towel.
Serving
  1. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Ensure your oil is hot enough before frying to keep the sticks crispy. For variations, substitute shrimp with other seafood or veggies. A hint of sriracha or fresh herbs can enhance flavor.
