Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out your thawed puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Place the wheel of brie in the center of the pastry and sprinkle with fresh herbs, cranberries, or nuts on top.
- Fold the pastry over the cheese ensuring not to tear it.
- Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the pastry.
Baking
- Place the wrapped brie on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
If the puff pastry is difficult to roll out, let it rest for 10 minutes. You can also substitute brie with camembert or gouda. Leftovers can be used in salads.
