Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 medium head cabbage, chopped
  • 4 strips bacon, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Optional for extra richness.
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Method

Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until it’s crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate, leaving the grease in the skillet.
  2. In the same skillet, add the chopped cabbage and stir well to coat in the bacon fat.
  3. After about 5 minutes of sautéing, add the minced garlic and cook for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then fold in the crispy bacon. Stir thoroughly.
  5. Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to add red pepper flakes for heat or diced onion for sweetness. Leftovers are great the next day, just reheat in the microwave.
