- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sausages and cook them until they’re browned on all sides, about 10 minutes.
- Remove the sausages from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and mushrooms. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender and beginning to caramelize.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
Cooking
- Pour in the beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce, scraping up any brown bits from the pan.
- Return the sausages to the skillet, cover, and let simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
- Serve with the onion-mushroom gravy spooned over the sausages and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
Notes
Feel free to experiment with different types of sausages. For a lighter dish, use vegetable broth and omit Worcestershire sauce for vegetarian options. Don't worry about lumps in the gravy; they add character!
