  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter plus more for cooking
Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup diced ham the star of the show!
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar, Swiss, or your favorite melty kind

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, and melted butter until well blended.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in the diced ham and cheese (and chives, if using).
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little butter.
  2. Pour about ¼ cup of batter for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Repeat until you’ve cooked all the batter.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with a side of sour cream or a drizzle of hot sauce, if desired.

Notes
