Ingredients
  

For the Bread
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped apples about 2 medium-sized apples
For the Salted Caramel Sauce
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp sea salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan. Line the pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk.
  4. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chopped apples.
  6. Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Prepare the Salted Caramel Sauce
  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the sugar until it turns an amber color, stirring constantly.
  2. Once melted, add the butter and stir until well combined. Slowly pour in the heavy cream and sprinkle in the sea salt, stirring again.
Serve
  1. Allow the bread to cool before drizzling the salted caramel sauce over the top.

Notes

This bread keeps wonderfully. Store in an airtight container for a few days. Swap apples with other fruits or add chocolate chips if desired. For an extra glam touch, consider adding powdered sugar or chopped nuts on top.
