Preparation
- Pat the mozzarella balls dry with a paper towel.
- Cut the salami slices into smaller circles, about the same size as the mozzarella balls.
Assembly
- Wrap a slice of salami around each mozzarella ball and secure it with a toothpick.
- Slice the black olives into small circles and place one or two on top of each mozzarella ball to create the eyes.
- Sprinkle fresh basil or parsley on top for a pop of color if desired.
Serving
- Arrange the Salami Mozzarella Eyeballs on a platter and serve.
Notes
Experiment with different cured meats or cheeses. Serve these on a decorated platter for a creative touch.
