Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 8 ounces mozzarella balls Tiny heavenly bites of cheese
  • 4 ounces sliced salami Any type of cured salami works
  • 4 slices black olives For the creepy touch
  • to taste fresh basil or parsley, chopped Optional, for color
  • as needed toothpicks For assembly

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat the mozzarella balls dry with a paper towel.
  2. Cut the salami slices into smaller circles, about the same size as the mozzarella balls.
Assembly
  1. Wrap a slice of salami around each mozzarella ball and secure it with a toothpick.
  2. Slice the black olives into small circles and place one or two on top of each mozzarella ball to create the eyes.
  3. Sprinkle fresh basil or parsley on top for a pop of color if desired.
Serving
  1. Arrange the Salami Mozzarella Eyeballs on a platter and serve.

Notes

Experiment with different cured meats or cheeses. Serve these on a decorated platter for a creative touch.
