Ingredients

For the Roasted Garlic Butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 cloves roasted garlic
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped Can substitute with thyme or parsley.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
For the Steak
  • 2 pieces ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick) Can substitute with sirloin or flank steak.
  • Olive oil for grilling

Method

Prepare the Roasted Garlic Butter
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the top off a whole head of garlic, drizzle with olive oil, wrap it in foil, and roast for about 30-35 minutes until golden and soft.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, roasted garlic, chopped rosemary, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Stir until nice and creamy.
Season the Steaks
  1. Pat the ribeye steaks dry with a paper towel. Rub olive oil on both sides and generously season with salt and pepper.
Fire Up the Grill
  1. Preheat your grill to high heat. Grill the seasoned steaks for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, adjusting time as needed based on desired doneness.
Let’s Get Saucy
  1. After grilling, slather the steaks with your roasted garlic butter and allow it to melt over the hot steaks.
Rest and Serve
  1. Let the steaks rest for about 5-10 minutes before slicing to retain juices. Serve with sides like buttery mashed potatoes or a fresh green salad.

Notes

Don't skip the resting time after grilling! For an extra kick, try adding a splash of balsamic vinegar to the butter mix. Remember, grilling may take practice, so don't stress if it doesn't turn out perfect the first time.
