Ingredients
  

For the crust
  • 1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.25 cups granulated sugar
For the cheesecake filling
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure it is at room temperature.
  • 1 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 whole eggs Add one at a time.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
For the topping
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Shaved chocolate or chocolate chips (for garnish)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat Your Oven: Set it to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Prepare the Crust: In a bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar until well combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Blend the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together until smooth. Make sure there are no lumps.
  4. Add the Eggs and Flavor: Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, food coloring, and flour. Mix until everything is beautifully combined.
Baking
  1. Pour the mixture over your crust, smoothing it out gently.
  2. Bake for about 55 minutes or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly jiggly.
Cooling
  1. Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about an hour.
  2. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight if possible).
Serving
  1. Release the sides of the springform pan and top with whipped cream or garnishes before serving.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for best mixing. Grease the pan to prevent sticking. Adjust sugar levels as per taste preference.
