Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice the bratwursts into bite-sized pieces, being careful not to burn your fingers.
- Open the can of pretzel dough and unroll it on a clean surface; cut it into strips large enough to wrap around each bratwurst piece.
- Wrap each bratwurst piece with a strip of dough, making sure to encase the bratwurst snugly.
- Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it onto each wrapped bratwurst.
- Sprinkle coarse salt on top of each bite.
- Place the bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for about 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.
- Let them cool for a minute or two before serving with your favorite dips.
Notes
For added flavor, consider sprinkling garlic powder or Italian seasoning on the pretzel bites before baking. These bites can be made with chicken sausage or have cheese added inside for variations.
