Ingredients
  

Mushrooms
  • 4 large portobello mushrooms, stems removed
Sauce and Cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or a mix of your favorite cheeses)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional, for added flavor
Toppings
  • toppings of your choice: pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, spinach customize as desired

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Clean your portobello mushrooms with a damp cloth and place them stem-side up on a baking sheet.
  3. Spoon a generous amount of marinara sauce onto each mushroom cap.
  4. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, covering it generously.
  5. Sprinkle with dried oregano and garlic powder.
  6. Add your desired toppings to each mushroom cap.
  7. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and mushrooms are tender.
  8. Remove from the oven, cool for a minute, and serve.

Notes

For additional flavor, experiment with different types of cheese and add extra vegetables.
