  • 1 cup light corn syrup Can substitute with maple syrup or honey.
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the light corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Gradually stir in the flour and baking powder until just combined.
  4. Gently add the milk to the mixture and stir until well-combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped pecans until evenly coated.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  7. Bake for about 30-40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
  8. Let it cool for a bit before serving.

Notes

Don't skip the pecans for added crunch! Can store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week. Feel free to experiment with other nuts like walnuts or almonds.
