Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- If using a store-bought crust, place it in a 9-inch pie plate and crimp the edges.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Fold in the pecan halves.
- Pour the pecan mixture into your prepared pie crust.
Baking
- Bake for about 55-60 minutes. The pie is done when the filling is set but still has a slight jiggle.
- Let the pie cool for at least 2 hours.
Serving
- Slice and serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Notes
Check on the pie a few minutes early to prevent overbaking. Leftover pie can be stored covered in the fridge for 3 to 4 days.
