Method
Cooking Pasta
- In a large pot, cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Add a pinch of salt to the water and stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Once done, drain and set aside.
Searing Beef
- In the same pot, add a tablespoon of olive oil and heat over medium-high heat. Toss in the steak pieces and season with salt and pepper. Sear until nicely browned, about 3-4 minutes.
Adding Flavor
- Add in the butter and minced garlic, stirring for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Sprinkle in the red pepper flakes for a spicy kick based on your preference.
Incorporating Cream
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir together, scraping up the flavorful brown bits from the bottom of the pot. Allow it to simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
Final Mixing
- Fold in the cooked pasta, ensuring each piece is coated in the sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
Serving
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Don’t worry if your sauce looks a little lumpy; it’s a part of the magic! Taste as you go to make sure seasoning is just right.
