Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting) Feel free to substitute with whole wheat or gluten-free flour.
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar For a hint of sweetness.
Wet Ingredients
  • ¾ cup milk Almond or oat milk can be used for variation.
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil Melted butter can be used instead.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the milk and vegetable oil. Stir until just combined.
  4. On a floured surface, gently knead the dough for about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Form the dough into a loaf shape and place it in a greased loaf pan, or shape it into a free-form loaf.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Let your bread cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.

Notes

Mix-ins like herbs, cheese, or chopped olives can elevate the flavor. Store in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze for up to three months.
