Ingredients

For the Truffles
  • 1 package Oreo cookies (15.35 oz) Regular or mint flavored
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips For coating
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • as needed Crushed peppermint candy or sprinkles For garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Crush the Oreos into fine crumbs in a large mixing bowl using a food processor or rolling pin.
  2. Mix the softened cream cheese with the Oreo crumbs until well combined, forming a dough-like consistency.
  3. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to firm it up.
  4. Scoop small portions (about a tablespoon) and roll them into balls, placing them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Coating
  1. Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  2. Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate until fully coated and let excess chocolate drip back into the bowl.
  3. Sprinkle crushed peppermint or festive sprinkles on top before the chocolate hardens.
  4. Return the truffles to the fridge for about 30 minutes to set.
Serving
  1. Serve the truffles on a festive plate and enjoy!

Notes

For extra crunch, sprinkle leftover Oreo crumbs on top before the chocolate sets. Variations include using flavored Oreos or rolling the truffles in cocoa powder or crushed nuts instead of chocolate.
