Ingredients
  

For the dough
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs Add one at a time for best results.
For the filling and topping
  • 1 cup whipped cream For filling the puffs.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips For drizzling on top.
  • Powdered sugar For dusting the finished puffs.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine the water and butter. Let it come to a boil, then add the flour all at once and stir vigorously until the mixture forms a ball.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly for about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Spoon or pipe the dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown and puffed up.
  2. Once baked, let them cool, then poke a small hole in the bottom of each puff.
Filling and Topping
  1. Fill each puff with the whipped cream.
  2. Melt your chocolate chips and drizzle them over the filled puffs.
  3. Finish with a light dusting of powdered sugar.

Notes

Let the puffs cool completely before filling. Don’t rush the cooling process to avoid cooking the eggs.
