Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a saucepan, combine the water and butter. Let it come to a boil, then add the flour all at once and stir vigorously until the mixture forms a ball.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly for about 5 minutes.
- Add the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition.
- Spoon or pipe the dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown and puffed up.
- Once baked, let them cool, then poke a small hole in the bottom of each puff.
Filling and Topping
- Fill each puff with the whipped cream.
- Melt your chocolate chips and drizzle them over the filled puffs.
- Finish with a light dusting of powdered sugar.
Notes
Let the puffs cool completely before filling. Don’t rush the cooling process to avoid cooking the eggs.
