  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough (or 1 can large sheet-style) Use crescent rolls or puff pastry.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted For glazing the rolls.
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed Can use light or dark brown sugar.
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional) Adds pleasant tang.
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional) Optional for additional flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley for garnish (optional) For presentation.
  • To taste Toothpicks for serving For easy grabbing.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Assembling
  1. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. You can cut them into smaller strips for even bites.
  2. Wrap each Lil’ Smokie at the wide end of a crescent triangle and roll toward the point. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
Making the Glaze
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and smoked paprika until smooth.
Baking
  1. Brush each wrapped smokie with the butter-brown sugar glaze and bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven, brush with leftover glaze, sprinkle with parsley, and serve warm with toothpicks.

Notes

If the glaze thickens, microwave for 5–8 seconds to loosen. Store leftovers in airtight container for up to 3 days; reheat to restore crispness.
