Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a mini muffin tin.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, chopped pecans, melted butter, sugar, and salt until you have a crumbly mix.
- Press a small amount of the mixture into each cup of the muffin tin to form your crusts, aiming for about ¼ inch thickness.
- In another bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth. Stir in the chopped bacon and pecans.
- Spoon the filling evenly into your crusts, being careful not to overfill.
Baking
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until the edges start to brown slightly and the filling sets.
- Allow the tarts to cool in the pan for a few minutes before removing them and placing them on a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra indulgence, drizzle more maple syrup on top before serving. Feel free to mix nuts based on your preference.
