Ingredients
  

Lobster Filling
  • 1 pound cooked lobster meat, roughly chopped Can use canned lobster meat as a substitute.
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice A little extra can elevate flavors.
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped chives Adds color and freshness.
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Buns and Butter
  • 8 pieces mini hot dog buns or slider buns Choose your preferred type.
  • Butter for toasting the buns Use as needed.
  • 4 leaves lettuce (optional) For a crisp finish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped lobster meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and chives. Season generously with salt and pepper. Stir until well-coated.
  2. Tip: Keep the lobster mixture off-limits until served!
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a dab of butter.
  2. Toast the buns in the skillet, cut side down, for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
Assembly
  1. Remove toasted buns and fill each with a generous spoonful of the lobster mixture.
  2. If desired, add a crisp lettuce leaf for extra crunch.
Serving
  1. Arrange the rolls on a platter and serve with your favorite drink.

Notes

These mini lobster rolls can also be prepared with other seafood like shrimp or crab meat. For the best flavor, toast buns fresh right before serving.
