  • 1 pound ground beef (or turkey for a lighter option)
  • 1 cup cooked rice (white or brown) Your choice!
  • 1 jar marinara sauce Store-bought for convenience, or homemade
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Mozzarella, cheddar, or a mix
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables Like peas, carrots, and corn
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, heat your olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef (or turkey) and cook until it’s browned.
Mixing
  1. Stir in the cooked rice, marinara sauce, and frozen vegetables.
  2. Season with salt and pepper, and combine all the ingredients thoroughly.
  3. Allow to mingle for about 5 minutes.
Cheese Melting
  1. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  2. Cover the skillet with a lid and lower the heat, allowing the cheese to melt.
Serving
  1. After about 5-7 minutes, remove the lid and serve hot.

Notes

Customize it by adding your favorite veggies or swapping meats. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated in the microwave.
