Preparation
- Begin by slicing your fresh mozzarella and tomato. Next, mash the ripe avocado in a bowl and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Assembly
- Take one slice of bread and spread the mashed avocado generously on top. Layer the mozzarella slices and freshly sliced tomato, and season with salt and pepper. Top it all off with the second slice of bread.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Carefully place your assembled sandwich into the skillet.
- Cook for about 4–5 minutes on each side or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melting.
Serving
- Remove from the skillet and let it cool for a minute before slicing. Enjoy!
Notes
Don't rush the cooking process for even browning and melting. For extra creaminess, consider adding some cream cheese to the avocado layer.
