Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, chilled (or 1 shot espresso + 1/2 cup cold water) Brewed coffee should be chilled.
  • 1 cup whole milk (or almond/soy milk for dairy-free) Use dairy-free options if desired.
  • 2 cups ice
  • 3 tablespoons caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzle) Adjust according to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar or vanilla syrup Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • whipped cream for topping (optional)
  • pinch of sea salt (optional) Enhances caramel flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Brew and chill coffee. Make strong coffee the night before or use leftover cold brew. Alternatively, dissolve instant espresso powder in cold water.
  2. Add liquids to the blender. Pour in the chilled coffee and milk first. Stir in the vanilla extract and sugar or syrup.
  3. Sweeten with caramel. Add 3 tablespoons of caramel sauce to the blender.
  4. Add ice. Toss in the ice and secure the lid.
  5. Blend. Pulse on high for 20–30 seconds until smooth and thick.
  6. Taste test. Spoon to check sweetness and texture; adjust if necessary.
  7. Serve with flair. Pour into a tall glass, top with whipped cream, and drizzle with additional caramel.

Notes

Chill your cup ahead of time for a frostier drink. If your blender struggles, melt some ice in the coffee before blending.
